I love Godiva chocolate, Fannie Mae dark chocolate orange and lemon creams, dogs (Great Danes, in particular), horror stories, and writing. Actually I love all kinds of stories-- romance, science fiction, action and adventure, martial arts, and most everything else. Reading, drawing, cacti, lizards, scorpions, spiders, sunshine and heat. LOTS of heat. 100+ degrees doesn't bother me a bit, as long as I don't have to wear more than a tank top, loose cotton shorts, and flipflops.
I work as a government contractor during the day, and struggle to find the time to write at night. Sometimes I go to college, and I want to get back into artwork (which makes sense, since I'm veeeery slowly pursuing a Fine Arts Degree). I've written somewhere around twenty novels and nearly a hundred short stories, covering everything from vampire books to science fiction to zombies to suspense. I've also written Buffy the Vampire Slayer novels and stories, and a number of novelizations, including Hellboy, an Aliens book, Elektra and Ultraviolet. If anyone would like to know more about them, just visit my website and click on the Books section. For a 49 cent copy of a story I particularly like, check out Healer on the Amazon.com Shorts program.
I'm married to Retired Army Fart and writer Weston Ochse and have three spoiled rescued Great Danes: a deaf white one (with blue eyes) named Ghost, a golden-eyed Merle named Goblin, and a blue-eyed blind girl named Ghoulie. At the time I started this LJ, we had our precious and beautiful Lily, who left us for the Rainbow Bridge on May 1, 2006. I miss her each and every day.
I live with my family in very Southern Arizona where the altitude makes it too darned cold for me at night and in the winter, even if it is Arizona. It also makes it impossible to cook rice without a rice cooker and, if you check the LJ entries, causes some truly, er, unique cooking adventures.
Because I am always dropping hints to my husband, here's my Amazon Wish List. Hey, one can always hope, right?
