And where, you might ask, might I find such a person?

AND have him be handsome and smooth and intelligent and just Downright Awesome?

Why, right here, by golly, in the form of The Husband ([info]westonochse).

And to celebrate the fact that The Husband is, and always will be, younger than me, I'm wishing him a very public Public PUBLIC...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WESTON!

Love,

The Wife

The Husband and Outlaw Vampires

BTAM!

No, wait-- it's Vampire Outlaw. Yeah, that's right. ::grin:: The Husband ([info]westonochose) has gotten himself another book coming out. This one's called Vampire Outlaw of the Milky Way and is being published by Bad Moon Books in January '07. Intro by Brian Keene, art by [info]savagesinister. Here's more stuff I stole from The Husband's LJ:[info]

"Plans are 300 signed/limited TPB and 26 lettered HC'S. Cost is tenatively $15 and $100 respectively... Publisher Roy Robbins says that Vampire Outlaw is "reminiscent of Bradbury, Matheson and Star Wars." Vampire Outlaw of the Milky Way is the story of an autistic child who speaks in his own brand of Fred Flintstone language, his soulmate, Monray da Kine, intersteller bounty hunter and Vampire Outlaw of the Milky Way, and the unique bond they form.  Bad Moon Books has been around for 20 years as a friend to both writers and readers of books. It's only fitting that on this anniversary they branch out and begin contributing to the published words of the world. I'm happy to be a part of what should be a terrific beginning of a publishing enterprise."

I'm told this book will be the very first one that Bad Moon Books publishes.  How cool is that?  Also, the publisher says reservations are already coming in like crazy. If you want a copy, you should reserve it as soon as possible. No money down, just send an email to Bad Moon Books.

Goblin Upside Down
... and see what goes on.

Yes, our secrets are revealed.

(The fault behind this is placed entirely, utterly, and squarely on The Husband's [info]westonochse) shoulders.)

Happy 4th of July!

Yours truly, The Husband ([info]westonochse), Ghost and Goblin, all dressed up for our little town's 4th of July Pets on Parade!  Not a bad family outfit considering we discovered the event at the last minute and made our "costumes" at 9:30 p.m. last night.

Four Years!!!!

The Husband ([info]westonochse) and I have been married Four Years TodayAin't it just amazing?  We were married in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Deadwood, South Dakota, and despite the best efforts of the Universe (via the Grizzly Gulch Forest Fire), we completed our vows and then had one lone dance on the back deck of my new mother-in-law's house.  We even managed to cut the spiderweb and gargoyle wedding cake and have a bite, and make a champagne toast with the beautiful antique crystal and gold wine glasses given to me by one of my bestest friends, Alexa deMonterice (they belonged to her Grandmother).  That, alas, was pretty much it.  Nothing stood between my MIL's house and the forest, and evacuation set in as the flames crept down the hill.  The Husband has put up a little slideshow of photos on Flickr (not too long) if anyone wants to catch a glimpse of that fine and fiery day!

To The Husband -- [info]westonochse -- who won the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in First Novel! And (::blush::) said novel, being "Scarecrow Gods," is dedicated to yours truly The Wife.

Excuse me while I step back and do the Wifely Preen-Thing for a few moments. :-)
